FROM 2007 - Start outside the Old School, the oposite end of the High Road to the Swan. Finish before the steepest part of the hill !

PARKING- Two car parks should be available (see map), High Road is closed to traffic and no on-road parking is available in the village. Please leave the Bell car park free for the use of disabled visitors to the Feast and Fayre. There will be a small Feast and Fayre Programme/Parking charge..

CHANGING facilities are very limited, please arrive in good time if you wish to use them. We would appreciate the co-operation of local runners in coming changed to allow more space for others. Changing facilities tba. Toilets are available at the Youth Centre, the Village Hall, the Woolmarket and the Methodist Hall.

THE START- This is located outside the Old School and you run towards the Bell. The race will start at 11 am, assemble outside the Old School at least 5 minutes before this time.

THE COURSE- (see map) is one lap + a loop, generally flat, half through the village and half along country lanes. There is one steep hill that you run down and up once, the rest of the course is generally flat but surprisingly demanding if the sun is beating down. The surface is a bit rough underfoot along the farm track. The course will be fully marshalled and the road marked. Please follow the instructions of the marshals and police.

THE FINISH- You will be timed, recorded and given your souvenir. After finishing, take your number off and move away from the line to aid the recorders. Please do not jog back and accompany slower team mates as they finish - it makes the recorders job impossible instead of merely difficult. The road by the finish is open to traffic so try to avoid causing congestion and be considerate to residents and other road users.

FIRST AID- will be provided by St. John's if required. If you have any sort of medical condition, for your own safety, write details on the back of you number.

RESULTS- will be displayed as soon as possible in the courtyard of the Bell Inn.

PRIZES- will be awarded in the Bell In courtyard at 1 O'clock, or soon after...
